Locri ist eine italienische Gemeinde in der Metropolitanstadt Reggio Calabria an der Südostküste Kalabriens mit 11.848 Einwohnern (Stand 31. Dezember 2024). Es ist Sitz des römisch-katholischen Bistums Locri-Gerace und die Nachfolgestadt des antiken Lokroi Epizephyrioi.

Name der Stadt

Bis 1934 war die Stadt unter dem Namen Gerace Marina bekannt. Dies zur Unterscheidung vom weiter weg vom Meer liegenden Ort Gerace. Ihr heutiger Name leitet sich jedoch von der antiken Stadt Locri Epizefiri ab.
